GeoCodeNet Changelog:
1-7-2024
I wanted to integrate Google maps in my Salesforce org to make it easier to calculate fuel costs, spend time travelling from my office to my clients and maybe alert me for traffic jams etc.
i went to the google api page and quickly realised this was too big a commitment for my young company, so I decided to google some more. This time my search was aimed on free use api which I could integrate as is into my org.
Alas, no such luck.
3-7-2024
After some deliberation I decided to look for solutions which I could integrate with the use of code, I would search the fora in hopes of finding the holy grail. I found some sites who seem as a great choice.
4-7-2024
Implemented a callout in apex to collect Latitude and Longitude values based on a post / zip code. Results are very promising. Looking at an option to calculate the difference between these values.
5-7-2024
Found a possible api where I can send the values and then calculate the distance and the time I need to spend traveling. This is great, I will lookup the amount my car uses per kilometer and calculate the use for this journey!
6 & 7 - 7-2024
Spend this weekend testing and researching possible Logo's. This is clearly not my strongsuit..
12-7-2024
Made it possible to acces the solution in Salesforce flow. This seems to be the way to go forward.
13-7-2024
Made a logo! Tried to keep it simple and straightforward and I think I succeeded.
15-7-2024
Got a working version and both parts seem to be able to work together.
Beta version 1.05 is working and I am building the installation guide page and have updated the listing's page.
Exploring possible upgrades voor this product.
